Be a Mustang!

The Mount Alvernia High School Athletic Department strives for excellence while providing opportunities for students to achieve their potential and learn the values of discipline, leadership, critical thinking, and responsibility to oneself and others. Guided by this mindset, student-athletes form habits of excellence that extend far beyond the realm of athletics. The pride and growth that come with wearing a Mustang uniform expands on their experience as they prepare for college and career.

Our coaches work closely with student-athletes, helping them to develop new skills, improve their own abilities, and prioritize the best interest of the team while conducting themselves with respect, integrity and kindness.

Our Athletic Program provides:

  • A quality program in which each student-athlete has the opportunity to practice and participate in a safe environment, to be creative in her sport, and to develop a spirit of self-discipline, responsibility, and friendship to her school, teammates and coaches.
  • Our student-athletes with coaches who are teachers and who instruct student-athletes as learners, encourage them to participate, and assist them in accepting the role they play on the team.
  • Each student-athlete with the opportunity to seek, through athletic achievement, her own personal identity; to complete each competition and athletic season with a strong sense of fulfillment, achievement, and dedication, and to develop the self-esteem that will ultimately express the spirit of love and commitment practiced by Saint Francis and taught at MAHS.

We’re proud of our 90-year tradition of success on the field, the ice, the hardcourt, the track, and in the pool. Contact us to learn more about how you can become a ‘Mustang on the Move”.
