Profesora “Profe” Kugler earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Spanish Translation and Interpretation from the The University of Nebraska at Kearney in Kearney, NE. Later the University offered her a scholarship as a Graduate Assistant to complete a Masters Degree in Spanish Education. During the Master’s Degree Profe Kugler taught introductory and intermediate classes at the college level, as well as coordinated conversation tables in 6 languages for the university.

At the end of the MaEd Program, Profe Kugler was offer a full time position as a Spanish Lecturer for The University of Nebraska at Kearney. During this time Profe taught in all different levels including teaching classes for the Masters Program in Spanish Education. In addition to teaching Profe has served her Kearney community as Spanish interpreter for an Oncology clinic, and various departments within the university, such as the Speech Pathology Clinic, International Student Office, Admissions, as well as a consultant for the Translation program.

Profe Kugler has been at Mount Alvernia High School since 2018. She teaches 7th to 11th grade Spanish levels. As co-curricular she works with Mme Hewes to coordinate the Cultural enrichment club. One of the things that she enjoys the most is that Mount Alvernia is a small community, which allows the students to take leadership positions that would not be available to them at a larger school. This bring self-confidence, which can be seen by teachers in their academics and even in their sports.
